Last Friday, students went on guided tour to the Montaña Roja. The ancient red volcano is the El Medano symbole. It’s also a nice place to hike, swim and relax.
The tour was guided by Jonathan Sosa Garcia (Canarii, aventura y Medioambiante). This canarian man gave lots of informations -all in Spanish – about the rocks, plants and even legends.
It was a good opportunity for our students to activate their Spanish knowledge. As the group had various levels of Spanish, the students helped each others. Some of them translated in another language, others reformulated the information in Spanish. Carmen the teacher was here to help them out in the process. A real life exercise to learn and practice Spanish outside of the classroom.
